John Andrew Macdonald was born on January 11th, 1815 was born to parents Helen Shaw and Hugh Macdonald. He lived a very hard life as a kid, as he saw one of his brothers die from being beaten by a crazed servant. Once John A grew up, he made sure that he made good out of his life. He had three children with wife, who soon died of Cancer. He was very fond of his daughter, because she had brain damage and couldn't walk nor talk properly. He was in office for 19 years in total, and built the Canadian railway. It was supposed to be done in 5 years, but he did it in three (he accepted bribes from people)! He was later thrown out of office because he was accepting the bribes. He drank very often, but according to others, he had it under control by the time he was sixty. The few years, he was out of office, he didn't do much(except flirting with girls), and soon he was voted back into office. Emily Murphy

Image result for Emily murphy
Emily Murphy was born in Cookstown Ontario on March 14 1868 and had two older brothers named Tomas and Gowan. Her mother was named Emily Ferguson, and her father was Issac Ferguson, her mother stayed at home and did chores and cooking while her father was a property owner and was very wealthy. They say that her father influenced his children to treat each other with equality. Emily attended a private school for girls in Toronto, this is were she met her friend and future husband Aurther Murphy. After Aurther married Emily they had four daughters  Madelyn, Evelyn, Doris, Cathleen. But Sadly Doris died diphtheria at a very young age resulting in the family first moving to Swan River Manitoba, then to Alberta Edmonton. In Edmonton Murphy wrote her first book "The Black Candle." Although she thought the book to be a success, many people began criticizing the way she described the use of  Drugs and liqueur. People also criticized the way she talked about other races in her book, mostly Chinese people saying that the were the ones to get Canadians hooked on drugs. Some people even stood up and said the book should be stripped from the shelves. but this never happened. Even if her book was a failure soon enough Murphy started working on the persons case in both Canada and the in the British Empire. With other woman now named the famous five they won the case and woman were now declared persons in Canada and in the British Empire. But sadly on October 17 1933 Emily Murphy passed away. No one knows exactly how she died but the guess is either old age or a sickness as Murphy was 65 years old. Even if her book was a failure she had women declared persons in Canada and in the British empire and her legacy was born.
