George Stanley

Born in 1907, July 6th, George Stanley began his long, known life. George Stanley is known all around Canada for being one of the most important people of our country, the creator of The Canadian Flag. He was raised in Calgary, Alberta. After his childhood he had met a women named Ruth and had a child with her and her name was Mimi. Unfortunately, George Stanley died on September 13th 2002. Four years after his death, George won the Shelley Memorial Award. To this day, George Stanley will always be a huge part in our Canadian history and forever in our hearts.
